Ten eerste had ik van mijn werk een mooie kado bon gekregen, waarvoor ik deze prachtige stoffen heb uitgekozen
I believe the correct translation for "Hamsteren" is hoarding, but I think stash up sounds a little nicer..
So..earlier this week I stashed up with these gorgeous fabrics using my gift voucher at my local quiltshop.
En deze mooie groene verloop stof die ik nog had liggen, past daar erg mooi bij.
This beautiful green fabric matches it perfectly, had this in my stash for quite some time now..it is a piece that goes from very dark to very light green.
Met deze stoffen wil ik dit prachtige Baltimore album blok maken.
Of ik de blokken eromheen ook zo ga maken als op het plaatje weet ik nog niet, dat zien we dan wel weer als het blok klaar is...
With these fabrics I want to make this Baltimore album block.
Not sure if I want to do the blocks surrounding the main block as in the picture, but that is for later to decide..
Nou is het natuurlijk niet zo dat ik geen werkjes meer heb liggen, helemaal niet!..want ik hoef me echt niet te vervelen.
Maar volgens Juud (even op klikken om naar haar blogberichje te gaan) hoeven we onder de 20 projecten niet te tellen, dus ben ik (zonder schuldgevoel!) van de week maar gelijk begonnen...en zijn de eerste stukjes al geappliceerd.

It's not that I haven't got anything to do, because I have enough projects to last me for quite a while, but according to Juud (click to go to her blogpost) we don't have to count as long as it is less than 20 projects...and so the first pieces are now appliqued (and without feeling guilty!). Thanks Juud!
En dan ben ik vandaag ook nog even naar Aztec Rose geweest in Zwijndrecht, deze mooie quiltwinkel gaat helaas vanwege gezondheidsredenen stoppen en heeft momenteel opheffingsuitverkoop (nog t/m 28 mei).
Deze prachtige fat quarters waren maar 5 voor 10 euro..mooie basis stoffen.
And today I visited the quiltshop AztecRose in Zwijndrecht.. alas this great shop is closing due to health reasons and are currently having a sale.

.. ook nog wat naalden en spelden en deze mooie Batiks voor maar 4 euro de halve meter..kan je niet laten liggen toch?
And also these lovely Batiks, and some notions..
Nou ik kan voorlopig wel weer even vooruit! (tot de volgende beurs..hihi)
Well..these should last me for a while, until the next exhibition probably, but hey..one can never have enough fabric right?
